Young Mothers Skills Training
In small communities like ours, young single mother have to face significant challenges. Having to deal with child care, financial strain but also social stigma. Hirwa's Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for both the child and mother by empowering young single mothers with new skills that will lead them to financial independence
Sandals workshop
Our inaugural project involved teaching mothers to craft sandals from banana leaves. Through engaging workshops, we successfully created approximately 600 pairs every month. Thanks to the generous support of Mantis Collection through their Hotels ,Mantis Kivu Marina Bay in Rusizi, Mantis Akagera game lodge, Mantis Epic hotel & suites Nyagatare, kivu Queen Uburanga Rusizi, these locally-made sandals are being used in hotel rooms, generating a big income for the community.
